Live Music
Our house has always been full of music, stories, and creativity. That's what shaped Backbeat Homes from the beginning. My daughter was the one who named it, drawing a parallel between the backbeat of a song and what should be at the core of a boutique real estate company built by and for musicians and creatives.
She called it Backbeat because the backbeat of a song is its foundation, the steady rhythm that drives everything forward. Simple, strong, and dependable. That felt like the right metaphor for what we do in real estate, creating a solid foundation on which people can build their lives.
This week feels like a full circle moment, as our daughter, Lulu, just released her first song, "The Equalizer." She wrote it in the wake of the Eaton Fire, which tore through our community and left so many friends and clients displaced and bereft. Out of all that devastation, she found a way to put love and empathy into words and melody.
This is exactly the spirit we have tried to carry at Backbeat, turning struggle into something beautiful, and using creativity to connect us and remind us of our shared humanity. I could not be prouder to share her song.
You can listen to The Equalizer on Spotify and follow Lulu to hear about upcoming releases.
